More Information:
How long have you been interested and participating in fitness?
I have always participated in sporting activities for as long as I can remember. I represented my local village side from the age of 6, and even though the team may have changed I still line up every Saturday afternoon with the same butterflies and excitement as I did when I first began playing.
What made you become a Personal Trainer?
Having always enjoyed my own training, I have an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a desire to master skills, which combined with my need to help people meant becoming a Personal Trainer was the easiest decision I ever made.
What are your qualifications?
- BSc Sport and Exercise Science
- Weight Management & Nutrition
- Exercise Metabolism
- Advanced Nutrition for Sporting Performance
- Gym Instructor
- Advanced Personal trainer
- Class/Circuit Instructor
- Reps level 3
- First aid at work
What type of people do you train?
I like to train everyone. It's equally rewarding for me if I can help someone just starting out with exercise achieve something new like performing a squat as it is training a marathon veteran to their first sub-3 hour run.
What do you do in your spare time?
I'm a keen and regular football player, and spend a lot of my time training specifically for football. I am also a keen cook who loves to try new and varied recipes. Whatever remaining time I have left, I like to spend with friends and family.
What is your favourite meal of the day and what do you have?
Dinner gives at home gives me the chance to have a freshly prepared hot meal that my family can enjoy together. I try and keep it as varied and different as possible, but it always follows the same basic ideas: a sufficient serving of protein, a fairly small helping of slow-release, complex carbohydrates, and as much fresh, local vegetables as I can get my hands on.
When are you available for one to one training?
I am willing to train people between 6am and 10pm, ideally whenever is best for you. Please contact the Leisure and Spa Reception (01954 714620) or me directly (07834 973231) to enquire about availability.
