More Information:
How long have you been interested and participating in fitness?
I've always been an active person but it was 24 when I found athletics and started training with real focus.
What made you become a personal trainer?
After 19 years of competing I decided to start coaching other athletes. I enjoyed it so much I decided to change my career to become a Personal Trainer.
What are your qualifications?
- REPS level 3
- Exercise prescription
- Physical assessment
- Nutrition
- Nordic walking and training in different environments
- I'm also a run/walk leader and athletics coach (UKCC1).
What is your favourite meal of the day and what do you have?
Not my favourite but very important to me is breakfast. I always have a big bowl of porridge with a banana and spoon of honey in it. This gives me all the energy I require to train hard. It's also my pre-race fuel.
What would your best tip for people wanting to lose weight or get fit?
This is my tip in life, always look for the positive. Sometimes things don't work out as well as you'd like but there's nearly always something positive to take from every situation. Seek the positive and use it to drive you forward to achieve your goals.
When are you available for one to one training?
I'm available as much as possible. I still compete at the top level but have always been able to fit that around work.
